This meaning is shown in the Exalted saying in His Honoured Book ?My mercy encompasses everything; and I will prescribe it for the pious.?[4] That is to say Allah, Glory be to Him, is the Gracious one Whose grace and mercy covered this world and the hereafter; for in this world His grace includes both believers and unbelievers, whereas in the hereafter it will only be for the believers.

?Al-Rah?m?n? is a name exclusively used for Allah. No one else can be called by that name. You cannot call someone as ?Rah?man?. The Prophet ?said: ?The Gracious has His mercy on those who show mercy. Show mercy to those on earth and the One in the heavens will show mercy to you.?[5] The Prophet ?was reported as saying ?Allah has a hundred mercies. Of them He sends one mercy to the jinn, human beings, animals and birds. By this mercy they show tenderness to each other, are merciful to one another; and by this mercy the wild beast shows affection for its offspring. And Allah has kept in store ninety-nine mercies for His servants on the Day of Judgment.?[6] ??????? ?? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???? ?? ????? ??? ???? ??? ????? ???? ??? ???? ?????? ??????? ????????? ?????? ??????? ?????? ?? ?? ????? ?????? ?? ?? ???????. ????? ?? ?????? ?????? ??? ??? ???? ????? ???? ???? ???? ????? ??? ???? ?????? ???????? ??????? ???? ???????? ???? ???????? ???? ???? ????? ??? ?????? ???? ???? ???? ?????? ???? ???? ??? ????? ??? ?????????

Oh Allah: make our hearts witness to this grace- You are our Help and our Shelter. Oh the One Who subdues the hearts of tyrants and has complete control over all slaves! We seek refuge in You from being disgraced by You, from the removal of Your protection and from forgetting Your dhikr. Make us, oh the Gracious, of the people who remember this noble name; and grant us glimpses and illuminations thereof.
